The Challenge
When the production of BonBon was closed in 2001, a new challenge was faced: What do you do with 20.000 m2 of empty production area?

The Project
With a unique placement directly in front of the entrance to one of the most well-known and visited amusementparks in Denmark, the BonBon Land in Holme Olstrup, the answer to this was right ahead; Build the largest indoor amusementpark in Northern Europe, where you can find more than 1.000 mechanical dolls, and where the design of the floors already in an early stage of the planning was calculated to play an important role of the total scenography. However, the foundation for this succes was already in place: The total area was already covered with Dencryl Floorings from Dencoat! “We have a long relationship with Dencoat from all the years of producing candy, and we have always been extremely satisfied with the quality and service provided by Dencoat” explains manager Torben Digemose from Fantasy World.Therefore we found it logical to contact Dencoat when working on the Fantasy World project, and we immediately saw, that Dencoat could supply a solution that was a clean fit to our demands in regards to colours, cleanability and durability”

The Solution
The floor type chosen for Fantasy World is called Dencryl Topfloor, a 2–4 mm self levelling PMMA floor, with Dencoat Colour Chips fully broadcasted on the surface and then sealed with a transparent and very durable sealcoat.Another demand from our side, was that the work could be carried out by our own construction company. Hence to this, Dencoat offered a supervisor who trained the crew. At the same time, we got assistance from a licensed Dencoat Applicator who made alt the preparation work and all the work that required special skills. By doing so, we managed to install almost 10.000 m2 in only 3 weeks” a clearly satisfied Torben Digemose explains.

The Customer
The 10.000 m2 Fantasy World takes you into a world of fairytales, adventure and fun, that will amuse all 3 generations. Go for a sightseeing among more that 1.000 mechanical dolls from all around the world, ride the Fantasy Express in CandyLand, before going on a junglesafari with lions and monkeys in JungleLand, ride the buffalo in CowboyLand, drive funny cars under planets and moons in the big MoonLand with the biggest playcastle in Scandinavia……. and afterwards everybody can go for a laugh in the funny Cartoon movie theatre running all day, visit the Candyman, or build your own teddy bear in the Teddy Bear Workshop and……….. – in the largest indoor amusementpark in Denmark.

The Installer
KA Gulve has 25 years of experience with various types of flooring of quality flooring and operates throughout Denmark. 
-My background is that I have laid floors all over the world and participated in several foreign projects in Russia, Hong Kong and Dubai, among others. The preparatory work is the most important thing, both to ensure a level floor, but especially to create a solid foundation for adhesion. The most important thing for us is that the customer is satisfied. It also means that we work carefully and meticulously review the finished work. If we see the slightest mistake, we correct it. In fact, we have never been out to change anything, Kim Andersen concludes.
