Dencrete is already well known for extreme durability and high temperature resistance in combination with high chemical resistance against most common chemicals used. However, in the food & beverage industry, or in any industry where high levels of hygiene is required, bacterial control is a key factor.
Together with Swiss based Actalia, we have developed an antimicrobial additive to prevent the growth of bacteria, mold and fungi on the floor, based on the natural antibacterial properties of silver ions. The combination of Dencrete floors and Actalia Antimicrobial Additive provides antimicrobial and antifungal floor protection, basically eliminating all of the bactierial activity on the surface. The floor retains its properties even with very heavy traffic and intensive operation, and the Actalia Antimicrobial Additive is easily absorbed by bacteria and inhibits its growth. As a result of this process, as many as 99.99 % of 7 bacterial strains tested are removed, including Listeria Monocytogenes, Pseudomonas aeruginosam, Salmonella Typhimurium and Staphylococcus aureus, among others.
